Big T Wear Brings Big Time Style to Downtown Rock Island

It’s not about the size…

Big T Wear Big & Tall in the Shoppes on Second in Downtown Rock Island carry sizes Small to 7XL, for the “big, tall and down to small.” The shop held a grand re-opening celebration on May 6th to celebrate their first year in business, and their recent expansion at 1700 Second Avenue.

As reported in the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal, Big T Wear supported Soles for Children at the celebration. A donation box was in the store for customers to drop off new clothing for children, including shoes, coats, and hats. Giving back to the community is how owner Anthony Jones and partner DeAnna Freeman-Foster like to do business.

“The new location gives Big T Wear more visibility,” says DARI Vice-President Elizabeth Tallman. The Shoppes on 2nd is a retail incubator that offers businesses a chance to grow and prosper in a Downtown location, where businesses can take advantage of many opportunities, including of the power of numbers in foot traffic and cross-marketing with other businesses. Big T Wear’s grand re-opening featured delicious cookies from Emi’s Treats, another Rock Island small business with a big heart.

Even the Mayor of Rock Island made it to Big T Wear for the event. If you missed out, that’s okay, you could still go to Emi’s to get a cookie and stop by Big T Wear Big & Tall between 11 am and 6 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. If your wardrobe is getting a little tired, you’ll come out of the shop with a lot more style.
